It was a great week for the pound, but Monday will be a soggy start

The pound was the top performer this week Sterling's fortunes reversed midway through the week on reports that Barnier will offer the UK a two year extension/transition period. As a result of the momentum, cable finished the week 1.8% higher. The pound was also the top G10 FX performer.
