European equities open lower to start the trading day

European stocks continuing yesterday's sluggishness at the open A softer tone for European equities today. Asian stocks were mostly mixed as the Nikkei ended the day lower but China's Shanghai Composite and CSI 300 indices are higher on the day. Meanwhile, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index is also up by 0.49% currently.
